Outside Vienna, HOCHTIEF Construction Austria is realizing sections of the massive Ypsilon PPP road construction project in a joint venture engaged by the Bonaventura concession company. HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions has a major stake in Bonaventura. The project includes sections of the A5, S1 and S2 highways, which will link the capital with the Weinviertel area. Together, the individual construction sites make up a 51 kilometer section of the north highway and northeastern bypass.

The advantages for the region are obvious: less traffic on narrow country roads or through villages and a faster connection to Vienna and from the capital to the Czech Republic. The improved transport infrastructure will also make Lower Austria a more attractive location for industry and business.
